Built in 1954; it consists of 128 (1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom) units. Plainfield has a rich industrial history but in recent years, it has become racially and economically isolated. Through the years we have had large percentage of businesses to relocate and leave the community devastated by lack of organizations to supply gainful employment.

 

The Federal Government has instituted a number of programs to aid the low-income population to be able to afford a safe, decent, and affordable housing. The Housing Authority of Plainfield also has a number of facilities that are available for Public housing or subsidized housing.
