The job of the Executive Director is to run the day to day operations. Every HAP employee works hard to maintain the highest level of professionalism, knowledge and experience, so that, families can receive the maximum benefits that can be afforded to them within program guidelines. It is our sincere hope that this web site and our agency can provide enough information and assistance in order that the programs and services administered by the Housing Authority of Plainfield reach the families that are eligible for them.
The HAP was created to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Public housing comes in all sizes and types to meet the needs of our city. In the United States there are approximately 1.3 million households living in public housing units, managed by 3,300 Housing Authorities. For more information on public housing please visit the HUD website.
